So I’ve noticed that I’m happy to work on anything, as long as I’m getting something in return. In this case: Money (sadly) might be my saviour. Every dime will go into my savings, for a home. In four weeks $700 will go into my joint account with my Dad; if I proceed with everything accordingly. Below is a list of my current resolutions to define the next resolutions for my Happiness Project. This will hopefully give me the momentum I’m looking for; ideally I will still be doing my 4HB Diet & Exercise Routine, that will be my next resolution, but for now let’s start by breaking out of this inertia.
I should also let you know, that I figured out that I need to not only listen to the audio book, read the book (while listening to it) AND write in my own journal for it to sink in and actually doing something. Ahh the wonders of ADHD. Here we go, I’m actually now going to go down to the basement and jog for an hour! Wow, so that means $12.50 will go into my jar; so to speak and I know I’ll also be getting 8 hours of sleep tonight, so that means, really $25 today.
Alright wish me luck everyone!
Cheers,
Oro.

This is a notice that I will be posting yet again. I’ve also changed the url to: lescycles.tumblr.com. Some of you might have not even noticed I’ve been gone; mainly since I wrote so little, and some of you will be happy to follow again. The content will continue to be the same but I plan to also include some of the other endeavours that have tickled my interests in these past 5 months.
I’ve noticed that I truly enjoy listening to Audiobooks while I work, when I do that I feel as if I’m not wasting time. On Monday July 25th 2011; before work was about to begin - You see, I draft all day in an Architect’s Firm and it feels good to listen to something interesting while adjusting drawings. So as I was saying: I encountered an Audiobook that winked at me, and actually this audiobook has resonated quite well with me. The name of this Audiobook; which I did judge by the cover, is : The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin.
I know, what you’re probably thinking, The Happiness Project? Why in the world would anyone want to do that. Most people when they hear: “Project”, they think of work, of to-do lists, of schedules; or “action items” as Gretchen Rubin calls them in her book. To be honest, the word Project to me is like music to my ears. For those who know me, they know that I love work, I love to go to work, when I’m not working I’m working on some other project at home. However I’ve noticed that this behaviour has been quite taxing on me. I’m looking for ways to be happy. I find it hard sometimes to feel enamoured by life. Anyways, I was on my iPhone, looking for something to listen to while I worked, and came across this little blue picture with yellow writing on the screen of my iPhone and I thought to myself, “A HAPPINESS PROJECT in Cyan & Yellow, that’s two of my favorite colours and one of my favourite words! Well that’s just brilliant, I will buy it” And so I did, and now I’m here re-writing in the blog I started 6 months ago.
I will be posting sometime later this week, to tell you more about how this is all going to work and should you have any comments, questions, or concerns please don’t hesitate to write or ask any questions.
Cheers,
Oro
